There are lots of ways that you can use kratom because it offered in capsules and various other forms around the world. But if you are talking about how the natives take kratom and actually using the kratom plant itself, then there are three main ways that it can be prepared. This doesn’t count one method, which might be thought of as an entirely new set of ways to take kratom, where the leaves are dried and then crunched up and made into a powder where they can be placed into milk, applesauce or even water if the user doesn’t mind the taste. The three methods that we’re going to be discussing are making kratom into a paste, making it into a slurry and making kratom tea.
Making Powdered Kratom into a Paste for Drinking
The first method that we’re going to discuss is making kratom into a paste for drinking. This requires that you put your dose of kratom into a small cup. Then, add water in very small parts until you have created a paste, stirring until the powder is completely absorbed. Once you have the paste create, then it’s time to use it with the water that you are going to use to drink it. You can use other beverages if you prefer. Many people choose to use things like chocolate milk to combat the taste. Just take a spoonful of paste and put it in your mouth and then drink your beverage. Repeat until the paste is gone.
Making Powdered Kratom into a Slurry for Drinking
Another way to prepare kratom is to make it into a slurry. This method will likely taste a little better than the paste, depending upon what you add it to. Some people add sugar to the water as well to make it taste better. What you want to do is add a cup of water for every 7 grams of kratom, which is about one dose. Stir the water completely and then drink it quickly. You’ll probably have to pour some more water into the glass so you can get any kratom that has stuck to the sides. Some people use chasers to get rid of the bitter taste afterward.
A Recipe for Making Kratom Tea
The third way that we’ll discuss preparation of kratom is in making tea. This method will make a large batch of tea, several doses at least, so you probably only want to make it if you have several guests. In this instance, you’ll start with dried kratom leaves. Crush them into a powder and measure out two ounces or about a ¼ of a cup. Then, you’ll add a quart of water. You want to boil the water for at least fifteen minutes and then strain the tea out, squeezing the leaves to get as much liquid as possible. Put the leaves back in and complete these steps one more time, then boil both batches down until there is only about a cup of water left. Then, you can divide it up and be able to drink it quickly without too much of a bitter taste.
