As a chronic sufferer of insomnia, I was particularly looking forward to trying out the Red Vein Thai strain of kratom powder as I had heard great things regarding its ability to make users feel relaxed and help fall asleep. I had heard similar things about its use as an analgesic product (painkiller), and I looked forward to testing it against my normal doses of Tramadol. Before getting into the specifics, I’ll say right away that I was very happy with the results and Red Vein Thai kratom has become my go-to strain to chill out with.
Red Vein Thai Kratom Effects
I ended up very impressed with Red Vein Thai kratom powder’s sedation and pain relief. As far as pain relief is concerned, it was not quite as potent as hard painkillers like Tramadol, but also wasn’t as weak as over the counter meds like aspirin or ibuprofen. It landed somewhere in the middle and was strong enough that I didn’t need my prescription painkillers on the days I took Red Vein Thai.
Regarding sedation and relaxation, there simply isn’t a better strain than this one at larger doses. That being said, Red Vein Thai is best at medium to large doses. To clarify, that would be between two and three teaspoons or between eight and 12 grams for those of you who have a scale available.
Red Vein Thai Kratom Drawbacks
While they are normally considered benefits of the strain, Red Vein Thai kratom’s long-lasting sedative effects can lead to potential issues should you have to leave the house for any reason. For the most part though, experienced users should be able to cope well in these situations and focus on the mood enhancement. With that in mind, make sure to clear your schedule for six to eight hours after you plan on taking Red Vein Thai kratom.
Also, since this type of kratom works best at medium to large doses, most users are going to run through a supply much quicker than they would with other kinds.
Final Take on Red Vein Thai Kratom
When it comes to relaxing, fighting against insomnia, and pain relief, there simply isn’t a better strain of natural powdered leaf kratom. Red Vein Thai kratom is the reigning champion (in this writer’s humble opinion) as far as red strains are concerned. However, considering its strength and euphoric effects, we would only recommend this strain of kratom to experienced users. If you are new to using kratom, do not take more than 4 grams (a little more than one teaspoon) on your first attempt. Likewise, don’t become impatient and take more while waiting for the effects to show up.
Still, for those who know what they’re doing, Red Vein Thai is a superb strain of kratom that has pain-relieving and relaxation effects that are about equal to some pharmaceutical products. It should also be noted that Red Vein Thai is one of the most affordable strains of kratom, which is a nice offset to the larger doses.
